Ligustrum Ovalifolium Bonsai. Ligustrum Ovalifolium is also native to Asia mostly growing in Japan and Korea. The colder the temperatures a Ligustrum are exposed to the more leaves they drop.
It is much used for hedging but if left un-pruned can reach the size of a small tree. The tree hasnt been wired now for a few years. It is classed as semi evergreen as it will lose some or all of its leaves in a cold winter.
It is very popular and is imported from China as a bonsai in large numbers.
Maybe some wiring examples. I wont be putting it in a bonsai pot yet but want to style it and place it in a larger pot for now. This Privet Ligustrum ovalifolium was originally dug from a hedge in London England during 2010 and had been planted into a large plant pot by the owner. Oval -leaf Privet Ligustrum ovalifolium.
